We aspire to be sustainable with our design and manufacturing and ensure to have ethical conditions for our workers and contribute to the society and our locals.

MATERIALS

We use durable fabrics and produce our products with quality, so they last a long time. In our newer collections.  We are in search for fabrics, garments, and technologies for a more sustainable future.

MADE TO ORDER & LOCAL PRODUCTION

At Normaillot we have a zero-waste strategy. Each piece is locally made-to-order in our private, local atelier in Istanbul. This allows Normaillot to be more environmentally friendly by reducing over production. This also allows us to ensure that the manufacturing is done under ethical conditions.  According to higher demands we work with independent manufacturers based in Turkey with necessary certificates such as Oeko-Tex.

Fashion is the second-worst industry (after oil) when it comes to pollution. We do our best to not contribute to this waste and minimize our effect on the planet.

One of the steps we take is implementing a made-to-order policy. This helps us become more sustainable by reducing our waste and therefore, minimizing our carbon footprint.

AVOIDING EXCESS PRODUCTION

A problem a lot of companies’ faces is overproduction of products and fabric. This can lead to an excess inventory.

We avoid overproduction by using a made to order policy. If we have any deadstock fabrics, they are creatively reused in different collections.  

CRAFT & COMMUNITY HOW WE CONTRIBUTE

We contribute to our local and global community in various ways. This includes things such as contributing to charity events, mentoring in fashion challenges, empowering women in craft, collaborating with local businesses.

PARAISO UPCYCLE CHALLENGE

THE SECOND ANNUAL PARAISO UPCYCLE CHALLENGE WINNER RAQUEL ZERBIB MENTORED BY NORMAILLOT.

THE UPCYCLE PROJECT AND PARAISO PARTNERED TO CREATE A NATIONAL DESIGN STUDENT CHALLENGE WITH THE GOAL TO RAISE AWARENESS ON SUSTAINABILITY BY UPCYCLING DEAD STOCK FABRICS FROM INTERNATIONAL SWIMWEAR AND ACTIVEWEAR DESIGNERS.

NAKED HEART FOUNDATION

NORMAILLOT WAS A SUPPORTER OF NAKED HEART FOUNDATION AT RIVIERA DINNER IN 2020. THE NAKED HEART FOUNDATION WAS FOUNDED BY NATALIA VODIANOVA IN 2004. ITS MAIN MISSION IS TO HELP BUILD AN INCLUSIVE SOCIETY THAT IS OPEN TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES AND SPECIAL NEEDS.

WE SUPPORT TURKISH BRANDS/DESIGNERS BY CREATING CONSCIOUSNESS AT OUR WEBSITE, ISTANBUL STORE AND SOCIAL MEDIA WITH A PROJECT TITLED “NORMAILLOT UNION”.

WE FOSTER LIMITED-EDITION, SUSTAINABLE STRATEGY. 18 DIFFERENT TURKISH BRANDS CREATED SPECIAL PRODUCTS FOR NORMAILLOT.   EACH BRAND AND DESIGNER HAVE A SPECIAL STORY BEHIND. SOME DESIGNERS WORKS WITH HAND-WOVEN FABRICS, SOME ARE SUSTAINABLE INITIATIVES, AND THE OTHERS ARE SKILLED ARTISTS.

WE BELIEVE IN INVESTING IN THE LOCAL ECONOMY AND SUPPORTING WOMEN CRAFTMANSHIP. ESPECIALLY OUR “THE FRUIT SHOP” COLLECTION EMPOWERS TURKISH WOMEN ARTISANS WHILE FEATURING TEXTURALLY RICH, HANDCRAFTED, AND MODERN MACRAMÉ BEACHWEAR PRODUCTS.

RETURNS, EXCHANGES AND SHIPPING

 What Does Made-to-Order Mean? 

Our products are made-to-order. This means that each piece is made especially for you in our atelier once the order is placed.

All made-to-order pieces take 1-5 business days to be made and shipped out to you.

 

Returns and Exchanges

Since our products are made-to-order, we cannot accept returns. However, we offer exchanges or in store credit. Send an email upon your exchange request to customercare@normaillot.com  If you believe your garment to be faulty, please contact us.

Only, reported requests to this email address will be taken into account.

Your item must be unused with hygienic lines and all tags attached in its original packaging including all accessories intact and with its dust bag. The item must be in the same condition that it was received. A receipt or proof of purchase must be included. You will be informed once we receive the items and Normaillot reserves the right to deny exchanges if the merchandise does not meet policy requirements. In Sale items, the product can be changed with other discount products if the product is in stock.

Earrings and scrunchies cannot be returned or exchanged due to hygiene reasons.

Items from the Brand Collaborations cannot be returned or exchanged due to the products being limited edition.

 

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift at the time of purchase and shipped directly to you, you can exchange the item within 14 days by including the gift card.

 

Shipping

For international purchases made online, the purchaser is liable for shipping expenses, any taxes and duties owed.

Shipping cost of the return and exchange belongs to the customer including both return and deliver of the exchange too.

Normaillot does not accept responsibility for items lost in mail during returns and exchanges. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

All orders are processed for shipment within 1-5 business day (unless it is specified otherwise). Orders are shipped Monday to Friday.

Our deliveries to Europe, America, Asia and Australia would take 1-5 days. For more information please contact customercare@normaillot.com.

International Shipping Policies

All prices on www.normaillot.com are displayed in local currencies but will be charged in Euro according to the daily exchange rate of your bank.

Ownership of and risk of damage to goods will pass to You upon delivery to You at your specified delivery address.
